Bannerdrop at »Hiroshima Day« demands to disinvite Israel from the remembering ceremony

Berlin 6.8.2024 | At the 79th anniversary of the atomic bombing of the Japanese city Hiroshima, activists made a bannerdrop on the Hiroshima-bridge near the Embassy of Japan that demands to disinvite Israel from the remembrance ceremony. While Israel was invited to attend the ceremony in Hiroshima, it’s not invited to attend the ceremony in Nagasaki some days later.

The Hiroshima-bridge is a little footbridge over the Landwehrkanal (small river/canal) in the district Tiergarten leading to the embassy district. Near by among others also the Embassy of Japan, the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation of the social-democratic Party SPD and the German Federal Ministry of Defence.
