Punks Against Apartheid (PAA): Join our movement!

We are so proud of the work we have done over the last year to get to where we are today. Now as our solidarity grows exponentially across the globe, we thought it was the right time to remind everyone that we are stronger TOGETHER!

So whether you have a lot of time to organise with us or just enough to express your solidarity in smaller ways, you can and SHOULD be part of turning the global tide away from settler-colonial genocide & towards freedom & liberation. Your voice matters more than you may realise, and your membership can inspire others to follow suit. And together we will ensure that punk not only does not accept Zionism in our communities, but that it becomes an active part of the global BDS movement!

Music scenes globally are going through productive upheavals as the exploitative owning class comes into conflict with the worker-artists who produce all the wealth for labels & festivals that don’t care a fig about human dignity or survival. Our scene is no different, and while it may be often more ‘grassroots’ & DIY, we are just as much a part of musical ecosystems as any other subculture–so we aim to not just organise to raise money for our comrades & kin in Palestine, but to RAISE HELL for them too!

We are already getting there, by mobilising our international network to support ongoing campaigns like Demilitarize Brooklyn Navy Yard, Dancers For Palestine, and Boycott Room. We are immensely proud of the fundraising we’ve been able to do with our partners Plastic Wound Records, Sound of Chaos Records, EastRev Records, and A World Divided Tapes on the UNDER THE BLADE OF A ZIONIST NIGHTMARE series, benefiting Heal Palestine, Gaza Sundbirds, Gaza Soup Kitchen and Doctors Against Genocide so far. And we are also thankful to everyone who has contributed & collaborated on our upcoming zine launch, featuring contributions from The Palestine Music Space (PalMS), The Dissidents, Big Big Things, Takeshi Evolstak, and others, with art from Shutopia & Otheroath. We really feel we have gotten off to a great start this year, and we are only just beginning!
