In a performative yet telling step, Zalando disinvited the Zionist organization RIAS from it campus for the planned event, downgrading it to a one hour online stream.
Despite seeming to fully grasp the damage being done to its brand, Zalando still maintains its partnership with RIAS, a fact that has dealt great offense to, among others, Zalando’s Muslim staff.
Zalando’s intent with this action is to deflate the widespread condemnation under which it has found itself over the past period, we call on everyone to double down on all the boycotts and angry comments until the company agrees to doing reparations, guarantees, and holding the perpetrators accountable.
Zalando is hosting RIAS, one of the most anti-Palestine organizations in the country. We are organizing a protest in front of Zalando’s offices on the 10th of September to object to Zalando’s repression of Palestine solidarity & aligning with the Zionist agenda.

Zalando to host Israeli Propaganda Event
RIAS (“Department for Research and Information on Antisemitism”) is considered one of the most sinister political actors in Germany.
RIAS lays the rhetorical groundwork for the repression against proPalestine activism in Germany. RIAS is the primary culprit for the conflation of Anti-Zionism with Anti-Semitism in German politics.
In a Frankfurter Rundschau article in June 2025, Hanno Hauenstein speaks about RIAS:
“RIAS’s work serves the interests of the Israeli right. The organization’s focus on Israel-related antisemitism should be understood against this backdrop.” – Itay Mashiach, Israeli Journalist
Some of RIAS’s greatest hits:
“Almost half of the victims of anti-Semitic incidents in Berlin are not Jewish.”
“On the occasion of the so-called Nakba Day in May—a Palestinian and Islamist campaign[…]”
“These include secular Palestinian groups and supporters of antisemitic boycott campaigns against the Jewish state of Israel.”
On the 10th of September, Zalando will welcome RIAS in its offices for an event: “Understanding and Confronting Anti-Semitism” while still banning Palestine solidarity and symbolism (Kufiyya, Watermelon,…)
