We call for antifascist, anarchist, and autonomous participation in the protest From Gaza to Ulm: Freedom for All Political Prisoners at U Turmstraße on Sunday, October 26th, in Berlin. Whether from the inside or outside of the state’s repression camps, prisoners must be at the center of our local and global solidarity. The fight for total liberation from the imperial core to the sites of anti-colonial struggle for land and autonomy is incomplete without a clear demand for the complete abolition of every prison and every torture camp that resists. Maja in Budapest, Hanna in Nürnberg, the Ulm 5: All of those cases show us that the state will continue its fascist crackdown on internationalist and antifascist solidarity. We need to articulate a strong autonomous voice and be present on Sunday to show the state that our solidarity is practical, inspired by those who have come before us, and internationalist to its very core. Freedom for all Palestinian prisoners|! Freedom for all prisoners!
As anarchists for Palestine, we will be present at the protest, and hope to see a strong anarchist and autonomous participation.
Below you find the original call for the protest:
Five comrades of ours were imprisoned for breaking into and damaging the Elbit Systems production site in Ulm. They are neither criminals nor heroes – they are among the growing number of everyday people taking matters into their own hands. This action marked a much-needed escalation, considering the last two years of the zionist entity’s non-stop genocidal slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza and other occupied territories in Palestine. This was primarily accomplished with weapons and technology manufactured by Elbit Systems, whose global profits increased by 50% to 300 million euros in 2024 compared to the previous year.
In continuing its repression of solidarity with Palestine, the German state is now alleging that our comrades are part of a “criminal organisation” (§129) on top of the expected charges of trespassing and destruction of property. The authoritarian state has made this accusation against leftist groups in the past. It is now attempting to use the same pretence of “organized crime” to further criminalize and surveil the pro-Palestine movement. We will not give in to scare tactics.
With Samidoun being labelled as a “terrorist organisation”, the BDS Movement being designated as “extremist”, and Red. Media being censored and its founder punished with EU sanctions, we have seen increasingly absurd efforts to punish solidarity with Palestine. These smear campaigns target Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim comrades most violently, often ending with prison sentences, censorship, and deportations.
SOLIDARITY MEANS WE DON’T LEAVE ANYONE BEHIND!
SUPPORT POLITICAL PRISONERS EVERYWHERE
We call on everyone to join us in the streets at U Turmstraße on Sunday, 26 October, to show our support for political prisoners everywhere, from Palestine to Lebanon, from Berlin to Ulm! We stand with Marwan Barghouti, Ahmad Sa’adat and countless other Palestinian political prisoners. We stand with the Ulm 5, the Filton 24 and all comrades from Palestine Action globally and everyone else who has been put behind bars for their solidarity with Palestine!
We demand the respect of our five comrades’ rights, their release from pre-trial detention and the dropping of their charges. Furthermore, we demand the release of pro-Palestine political prisoners, an end to the criminalisation of solidarity with Palestine, and that German politicians, weapons manufacturers and media be held accountable for their roles in the genocide.
We will support our comrades in the fight for Palestinian liberation! Take a stand with us! Bring signs and banners in solidarity Palestine Action, the Ulm 5 and all political prisoners worldwide – this is a global movement that will never be killed!
Free Palestine! Free all political prisoners!
