Eid al fitr (sweet festival) is about celebrating life and its beauty after weeks of sometimes strenuous fasting, conscious reflection and ascetic living. Let´s allow ourselves to celebrate it together, strengthen our community and our resilience to continue the fights we are fighting individually and as collectives.
Come by to nourish all parts of you and your loved ones, with the abundance of offers we have for you.
There will be plenty of the most important nutrient humans need; social connection and love, let’s stay connected in these difficult times!
All proceeds go to support Gazan medical students in Egypt to pay their tuition fees, return critical medical care to Gaza.
The complete destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system has lead to a loss of medical infrastructure and, a many times more harmful, a loss of skilled medical personell. As the genocide has not ended with the proclaimed „ceasefire”, Gazans are already at work trying rebuild infrastructures and continue their studies with the means they have at hand. But only the combined effort of Gazans inside the strip and the people of the world, is a speedy reconstruction of the healthcare system possible.
Some of Gazas brightest minds have made their way to study medicine in Egypt to continue their educational path. Over the years of the genocide these students were unable to pay the required university tuition fees and have therefore been banned from taking exams or graduating their studies. Hence leaving them in a state of enforced stagnation, far away from home, while watching the horror fall upon their families in Gaza.
Minimal wages in Egypt are not sufficient to earn the students their costs of living and tuition fees – 3000 USD/year/student.
We want to support as many of these students as possible by collecting the necessary financial means for them to pay their tuition fees and finish their studies to help rebuild Gazas medical system.
