Activists in Berlin (Germany) dropped a banner on Berlin’s Hiroshima-Steg footbridge (down the street from the Japanese embassy and from the Memorial to Anti-nazi Resistance in Germany) in the early hours of Feb. 12th, 2026, the International Day of Action to #StopFanucNow, calling out FANUC’s complicity in the genocide. FANUC has multiple locations in Germany, incl. its head office near Stuttgart and technical centers in Dusseldorf and Hamburg.
The anonymous activists in Berlin join comrades in/from Japan/Okinawa/Ainu Mosir, Turtle Island (“USA” and “Canada”), Ireland, Palestine, and beyond to demand an immediate end to FANUC’s complicity in and profiteering from “israel”‘s genocide of Indigenous Palestinians, apartheid regime, and settler-colonial violence. The Japanese company FANUC is the world’s second largest manufacturer of industrial robots).
FANUC’s industrial robots and CNC (computer numerical control) systems are supplied to “israeli” weapons manufacturers and used in the production of military equipment: Elbit Systems (“Israel”‘s largest weapons manufacturer) uses FANUC robots on production lines for 155mm artillery shells and other munitions, as confirmed by a video posted by the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the second-largest arms manufacturer, also reportedly uses FANUC robots in missile and rocket production at its factory. Other companies like BSEL (engine maintenance for fighter jets) and Rosenshine Prast (rifle parts) are documented using FANUC robots in their factories. FANUC robots are also used in “U.S.” and British weapons corporations’ factories that supply artillery shells and bombs that Israel uses to massacre Palestinians, such as Lockheed Martin, or General Dynamics (“USA”), which manufactures the majority of the MK-80 bombs with which the IOF blows up Gaza residents, as well as frequently used 155mm artillery shells.
The activists in Berlin also denounce Germany’s key role in the genocide, its genocidal history and present, and, like Japan, imperialist continuum and wealth built on greed and the massacre of millions, amid the re-intensification of racism and fascism, and combative militarization in both countries.
On February 17th, Japan’s Ministry of Defense will conduct its open competitive tender to buy attack drones, panning to buy drones made by IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries) “battle-tested” in Gaza.
On February 12th, Germany’s highest court rejected a constitutional complaint against German arms exports to Israel filed by a Palestinian civilian from Gaza whose wife, child, father, and three brothers were killed by military strikes of the zionist entity, a complaint supported by the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) and Palestinian partner organizations. This is not surprising (also given the close ties between top members of Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of “Israel”, evidenced e.g. in 3 days of meetings in Jerusalem three weeks ago).
Over 600 people have been murdered in Gaza by Israel since the so-called “ceasefire” in October — adding to the more than 72,000 Palestinian deaths, over 171,000 injured, and the destruction of nearly 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure since the beginning of “Israelis military campaign in Gaza since Oct. 2023. The Berlin activists join countless others around the world in demanding that FANUC immediately stop selling products and/or providing maintenance and inspection services to weapons manufacturers that directly violate human rights while massacring and terrorizing oppressed peoples.
We call on the peoples across the globe to continue to materially challenge any participation in the genocide — incl. deliveries of arms and weapon components by Japan, Germany, and all the others. Become ungovernable, deepen inter-communalist and internationalist commitment to liberation, and rise up against fascism and imperialism in all their forms.
