⚲ 17:00 | Café Herman Schulz, Finowstraße 33, Friedrichshain
from 5.00 pm. Kiez dinner with Lebanese cuisine and live music
7.00 pm. Political movie night and talk with the filmmaker
BUFFER ZONE (Farrah Berrou, 2025) screening and gathering/discussion
In Arabic & English with English subtitles and the discussion in English.
At the Politic Movie Night in April, we would like to support Jeyetna, a Lebanese association that helps displaced women in Lebanon.
From 5 pm, the café is hosting a Soliday for Lebanon, where we will be serving Lebanese food and live music.
From 7 pm, we invite you join us for a short film by writer and artist, Farrah Berrou. Buffer Zone is part-documentary, part-memoir, taking us back to her ancestral border village of Kfarkila in southern Lebanon as she visits for the first time since October 8, 2023.
Following the film, we’ll share an intimate, open discussion on supporting relief efforts alongside the creative community in Lebanon, as well as how, from Berlin, we can stand in solidarity against genocidal erasure and violence.
The filmmaker will join us for a virtual commentary.
